Every evening a beautiful religious ritual is celebrated by the sacred river in Vrindavan/India. Similar aartis are celebrated at other holy rivers. The most famous by the river of Ganges in Varanasi.
Before the ritual starts, many people are dancing in front of the sandstone architecture along the ghats.
As the light of the day fades people bring small lights with flowers to the water. The floating are these lights are a beautiful sight.
The main ritual include chants, flowers, and sweets; and the lighting and circling of oil lamps.
