A collaboration project of Antje (photo) and Maria Zegna (performance artist)
In this project we seek to raise awareness and sensitize about the positive impact that is possible to “give” to the element of water on our planet. Climate is to natural landscapes what emotions are to the body. The search for mutual intertwining occurs through the gesture of the “wave”, amplifying the tides in the body. A symbol of the future of life is performed in both bodies: the performer and the photographer who also moves while photographing.
We give a poetic intervention in the landscape, an embodiment of a movement, an e-motion, as an offering to Nature in gratitude for everything it gives us. We can give a metaphor to demonstrate that our actions are always closely linked to the environment where we produce them.

“For the Snow” is an offering of an emotional movement, called wave, to the sentience of water in a solid-state.

Like the melting snow in climate change, the movement fades until it becomes one with the natural landscape of the water.

This project is presented as a multimodal videopresentation at the Dislocated 24 art-festival in San Juan, Puorto Rico at 06.12.24. The theme of the festival is “The Power of the Four Elements and Climate Change”.
