Springtime

The beautiful springtime is arriving, now finally in Norway too. Have you been outside to photograph the beauty of all the slight greens and wonderful yellows, the whites, blues and pinks? For me, the colours are inspiring to create both traditionally and creative pictures.

This photography-course-year started with a two-part online course with both ICM (intentional camera movement) and ME (multiple exposure). This was a short introduction in both in-camera techniques I often use. Some participants will continue with the autumn courses where we have three online meetings for each technique. The ICM-course is fully booked, but send a message if you are interested to be on the waitinglist. The ME-course has one spot left.

For participants who joined these courses earlier I designed a new course this year, the ViK-kurs. We are digging deeper into the creative in-camera techniques and use more time between the meetings for really give opportunities to explore these techniques further. We are into this course right now and it is really great to see all the creativity blooming and growing. If you are interested to join the Vik-kurs next year send a message. There is already a waitinglist for next year.

In the beginning of august we will have a mindful photography weekend at the tiny isle of Ona. There will be maximum six participants and now we have only one spot left. This is a unique location and a special course-content. Have a look what earlier participants said about the course.

Maybe a course with other photographers is not the right thing for you? Then you can get individual feedback on your pictures with a lot of tips for editing in Lightroom.

Finally, I wish to tell you my thoughts and technique behind the wood anemone picture you have seen in the beginning. Maybe it can inspire you to try this kind of multiexposure shot?

When I walk in the forest in these days there is a huge amount of wood anemones. Wow, it gives me a phantastic feeling of springtime. At the same time there are many tiny creeks all around, and the sound of the running water gives me a kind of spring-feeling. It’s because all the snow is finally melting. So, in my head there are this two wonderful signs for spring and I just combined them in my picture. I started with a double exposure of the bubbling water, then added the flower. Without my explanation you might not understand my photographing process, but that does not matter. Each picture is unique and the photographer and the viewer of a picture can have different thoughts. That’s just perfect!

Thank you for reading and for your support! I always appreciate your comments, messages and to see your pictures, here, on social media or e-mail.

Have a wonderful time of spring with or without your camera!
