In the beginning of February light is coming back, some more minutes for every day. That feels really good. In January I have been out a lot to photograph the low sunlight in our west Norwegian landscape. Mostly I do ICM photography or multiple exposure in camera or even a mixture of all the options I have in camera. Led by my mood and intuition I often come home with at least one image I am satisfied with. The actual process while I am photographing and the editing process in Lightroom are both fun and good work. When I share a picture at social media and others like it and comment, or even would like to buy, I am satisfied too.

I am happy and proud that this picture (on the left) got almost 600 likes and many comments in a photography group at facebook. I love it too! I will do some prints and cards, and enjoy it hanging on my wall.
Next week the first of two online workshops starts. There is one spot left at the ICM-workshop. Are you interested? Take contact for questions. More informasjon here.
From 27.02. you can learn how to create images with two or more layers, put together in camera.
It is really amazing what earlier workshop attendees could create, just after one evening at the course. The discussion about their own pictures is very useful, many told me afterwards. Some photographers has joined for courses several time. Wish to try that technique? The course will be held in Norwegian language, but it is also possible to arrange courses in English or German language.

Is it possible to express our mood in photography? Yes, I think so. Photography can be about our inside landscape as well as the outside landscape.

In Mai we will dive into these and other thoughts of mindful photographing. We will spend a whole weekend with creative and mindful photography at the wonderful isle Ona. To be present is one aspect of the mindful concept. We will explore what this means and just do it. I am looking forward to share and discuss many interesting thoughts about a mindful way of photographing. See information here. There are some few spots available. Interested?
Right now I am listening to the storm, surrounding my house. A new thought comes into my mind: Can I express storm in a photograph, without photographing waves, trees and things flying around? Maybe you want to try? Write a comment if you like or/and send your “stormy” picture.
